Several new innovative courts are being utilized in North Carolina to deal with certain problems where the traditional adversarial system is not always appropriate. From families and drug abuse to corporate lawsuits, North Carolina is finding new ways to deal with these unique issues. In several of these courts, the court system acts a problem solver as well as a decider of facts.
