The Sentencing Commission has a duty under N.C.G.S. 164-44 to collect and maintain statistical data regarding sentencing, corrections, and juvenile justice. In response, the Commission produces annual reports on sentences imposed under the Structured Sentencing Act and juvenile dispositions imposed under the Juvenile Code.
