The Sentencing Commission is mandated to produce biennial reports on recidivism of offenders in the adult criminal justice and juvenile justice systems. The first report on adult recidivism required by N.C.G.S. 164-47 was published in 2000; reports are published in each even-numbered year. The first juvenile recidivism report, required by N.C.G.S. 164-48, was published in 2007. Reports are published in each odd-numbered year starting in 2007.
