Dori was born and raised in Roebling, New Jersey. In 1993, she graduated magna cum laude from Liberty University with a B.S. in History and was simultaneously commissioned
a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army through the University of Virginia's Army ROTC program.
She served four years on active duty and six years in the reserves, attaining the rank
of Captain and was honorably discharged in 2003. She served at Fort Huachuca, Arizona and Fort Belvoir, Virginia, where she was a Counterintelligence Operations and Operations
Plans staff officer for the Major Command Headquarters, the Battalion Adjutant and S1 (personnel officer) for the Command Support Battalion, Command Protocol Officer and the
Assistant Secretary of the General Staff for the Chief of Staff and the Commanding General. After the Army, Dori joined the Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism staff
where she writes and edits manuscripts, articles, speeches and presentations for the Executive Director, the Chief Justice and commission members, handles day-to-day operations
of the office, manages the finances, coordinates commission programs, plans and implements commission events, and performs any other administrative functions.
Lastly, Dori enjoys playing sports, riding her Harley-Davidson, the outdoors, photography, scrapbooking, music, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She resides in Pittsboro with her husband, two teen daughters,
and two dachshund puppies.
