The North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission (Commission) was created by the General Assembly in 2006. The Commission is charged with providing an independent and balanced truth-seeking forum for credible claims of innocence in North Carolina.
The Commission reviews, investigates, and hears post-conviction innocence claims if new evidence of innocence has come to light. Please contact our office for more information about the Commission and the types of cases reviewed.
