The Commission certifies mediation training programs for purposes of the 40-hour superior court mediation training requirement set forth in Mediated Settlement Conference (MSC) Rule 8.A., the 40-hour family training requirement set forth in Family Financial Settlement (FFS) Rule 8.A.2., and the 10-hour requirment set forth in Clerk Mediation Program Rule (CMP) Rule 8.B. The Commission has also certified training programs to provide the six-hour course on North Carolina court structure, civil procedure and legal terminology required of non-attorney applicants for certification by MSC Rule 8.B. (2)(a) and FFS Rule 8.B.
