Clerk Mediator Certification

The Commission welcomes your interest in serving the Clerk Mediation Program. If you would like to become certified to mediate guardianship and estate matters referred to mediation by Clerks of Superior Court, you will need to complete and return the Application for Certification. We will process your application and notify you when you have been certified. To be certified as a Clerk Program Mediator you must first be certified as a superior (MSC) or district (FFS) court mediator and have completed ten (10) additional hours of training in the mediation of estate and guardianship disputes.

If you are interested in mediating Clerk referrals not involving estate and guardianship disputes, contact the Commission's office at (919) 783-1574.

If you have any questions about the Clerk Mediation Program, the Application for Certification or the instructions for completing it, or want to know more about the certification process, please contact the Commission's Office at (919) 783-1574. Thanks, again, for your willingness to serve this Program and to help make mediation available in North Carolina's courts.
