Courthouse Hours of Operation
 
Rowan County Courthouse Rowan County Courthouse hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on normal business days. The Office of the Clerk of Superior Court is open to the public Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on normal business days. Please refer to the following link for listing of holidays on which the courthouse will be closed.

Public entrance on Liberty Street has handicap accessible ramps. At the public entrance all persons are subject to be searched and will have to go through medal detectors.

The Rowan County Courthouse has security which is operated by the Rowan County Sheriff's Department. The following are the general security procedures:

You are not permitted to bring the following items into the courthouse:
  1. Knives of any type or size INCLUDING pocket knives or tools of trade.
  2. Scissors (or any other sharp metal objects).
  3. Firearms or ammunition.
  4. Mace
  5. Cameras, cell phone cameras, or tape recorders.
A complete list of items is located outside of the entrance to the Justice Center.

Briefcases, purses, bags, backpacks and any other items may be subject to search by security personnel.

Security personnel will open the building to the public beginning at 7:30 AM and will close at 5:00 PM.
