Find information about jury service in this county.

Length of Service

Jurors are typically summoned for a one-week session. Occasionally, jurors may be summoned for multi-week sessions when complex and / or lengthy matters are to be tried. Jurors can and often do serve on more than one trial. Jurors are obligated to the court for the entire week's session of court, until excused by the presiding judge.

Hours of Service

Courthouse hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The courthouse is closed for all Judicial Branch holidays.

When and Where to Report

Jurors should call the number on the jury summons and report as directed by the recorded message. If they are required to report on the date of their service, jurors will be checked in and given an orientation conducted by the jury clerk. This will be followed by a short video presentation designed to educate jurors on the trial process and their role as a juror.

The judiciary and administrative staff are committed to making jury service in this district a comfortable and rewarding experience. Jury service will be educational and should bring participants a sense of great satisfaction.
