Parking and Location

Jurors are to report to Room 5450 of the Mecklenburg County Courthouse located at 832 E. 4th Street on the corner of the 3rd, 4th, and McDowell Streets. Free juror parking is available at the 4th Street Parking Deck, which is located at the intersection of 4th and McDowell Streets. The public entrance to the parking deck is on 4th Street, directly across from the 3rd and 4th Street / I-277 / John Belk Freeway exit ramp.

As they enter the deck, jurors must punch for a ticket and park on Level 4. Accessible parking for persons with disabilities is available on Level 2, which is one level up from the entry level. Jurors who have an oversized vehicle (up to 9 feet in height) must park on Level 2. Those in need of motorcycle parking should see the booth attendant for parking instructions. Jurors will validate the 4th Street Parking Deck ticket in the Jury Assembly Room and give the validated ticket to the attendant as they exit the parking deck.

Jurors should never park on the street, as there is no time to feed the parking meter throughout the day and any cars parked along the street, outside of posted hours, are towed at the owner's expense. The Jury Management Office can only validate parking for the 4th Street Parking Deck. Therefore, if jurors park at any location other than the 4th Street Parking Deck, or if their vehicle is ticketed and / or towed, they will be directly responsible for the cost.
