ADA Requests for Accommodation

Jurors who are hearing impaired and wish to request an auxiliary aid or service (i.e., assistive listening equipment, sign language interpreter, or captioning) for communication access, or who are in need of any other type of accommodation, should contact the Disabilities Access Coordinator at 704-686-0268 (Relay North Carolina 7-1-1) as soon as possible after receiving their summons.

Please submit requests with as much advance notice as possible. Generally, one week's notice is needed to secure a caption note taker. Other requests can usually be met when submitted at least two business days prior to the summons date. Every attempt to provide the requested accommodation will be made but cannot be guaranteed when insufficient notice is given.
