Local Court Programs
 
In an effort to broaden the scope of the court programs offered by the North Carolina Courts System, Durham County has made available to its citizens two distinctive local court programs. One is the Access and Visitation Program which is geared to improve the quality of the parent and child relationships and the other is Custody Mediation Program which is an alternative dispute resolution program dealing solely with custody disputes when parents separate.
