Child Access & Visitation Program
Cumberland county, district 12, court programs, Related Court Programs
The Access & Visitation Program provides assistance to non-custodial parents who are currently paying child support but do not have court ordered access to their children. This program helps links parents to resources in the community including educational and job training programs.
The goals of the program are to provide a wide range of community resources to fathers and non-custodial parents that will assist them in being responsible parents and positive role models for their children; to remove barriers preventing non-custodial parents from having positive and nurturing relationships with their children; to match clients with available and appropriate community services; to promote public awareness about responsible parenthood; to increase parents awareness about child support and to increase compliance with child support orders; and to initiate access to children as early as possible.
