Drug Treatment Court is comprised of various Staff who seeks the best interests of the client-offender and the community. The Team is a partnership involving components of the criminal justice system, mental health system, and the treatment community. The Team will link with organizations in the community and other agencies to serve the best interests of the clients.
The STARS Drug Treatment Court is a supervised treatment program for offenders who seek to end the cycle of drug dependency and criminal behavior. The objectives of this program include:
- Reduction of drug dependency among criminal offenders;
- Reducing criminal recidivism due to drug dependence;
- Increasing personal, familial, and societal accountability;
- Promoting cooperation, coordination, and collaboration between the criminal justice system and the community.
