Qualified persons or agencies may request access to participants in AOC court programs or information/data on participants in AOC court programs, for research, evaluation, or monitoring purposes. The request must be submitted in writing or electronically to the Administrator of the Court Programs and Management Services Division prior to initiation of the study. The Administrator may grant access to participants or may release information requested for the purpose of research/evaluation/monitoring activities if:
- The researcher has professional standing in the pertinent field or is supervised directly by such a person;
- The benefits of the proposed research/evaluation/monitoring are positively related to the mission of the Administrative Office of the Courts; and,
- The proposed activity does not adversely affect any of the Administrative Office of the Courts' programs or operations or any individual participant in such programs.
