Conference Title: Many Voices, One Vision II: Improving Outcomes for Children through Court Management, Leadership, and Collaboration.

Conference Goal: To provide participants with information to increase their knowledge of legal, judicial and service issues related to child welfare and juvenile courts.

Who should attend: Collaborative teams from Court Improvement Project (CIP) and Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) districts 1, 7, 15A, 17B, 19A, 21, 22, 17A, 23, 25, and 26. The teams will be led by the Chief District Court Judge and/or a Juvenile Court Judge and comprised of Juvenile Court Clerk, Child Welfare Agency Director; Child Welfare Agency and Parent Attorneys, Attorney Advocate (GAL attorney), the Guardian ad Litem District Administrator and the CIP Director.

A sample of workshops include: Ethical issues - Collaboration in the Context of Diligent Advocacy, Parental Substance Abuse: What the Research Shows about FDTC. Rule 17 GAL Advocacy, Court Process - CPC, Youth Panel: Getting our Voices Heard to Achieve Better Outcomes, ICPC, What Judges Look for in Court Reports, Writing Good Court Orders, Effective Community Based Programs (CJE/CLE credits will be available).
