The Promise of Arbitration
promise, arbitration
Arbitration is intended to be a simple, inexpensive, and quick way to resolve disputes. The arbitrator's decision is non-binding. If one or both of the parties disagree with the ruling, they have the right to request a trial de novo to have their dispute heard in court.
Surveys have shown that litigants and attorneys like the program. Experience has shown that by utilizing arbitration, more court time is made available to address juvenile, domestic, and criminal matters.
